Situated in the rural heart of the West of Turkey in the Aegean region, our family-owned and operated olive grove uses only the finest own-grown organic olives.
The exquisite Macana olive oils are sourced from 27,000 olive trees spread across 1250 hectares of owned land in Akhisar.
The olive trees that are indigenous to the Akhisar territory, Edremit, Trilye, Uslu and Domat are grown at an altitute of 600 meters and they are known for their high polyphenol content and unique flavor.
We take our olive oil seriously, and we make sure to only use the highest-quality ingredients. It’s important to us that we maintain this unique quality, so we take measures to make sure to control the entire process.. We are strictly aware our responsibilities about environmental sustainability and to preserve our nature.
We are using organic methods to minimize our impact on the environment. In order to conserve water, we use drip irrigation method to water our trees. During production process we use a two-phase, environmentally friendly system, which minimizes waste and ensures that no water is added to the olive paste, avoiding the formation of black water. We send our solid olive pomace to recycling facilities, where it is transformed into fuel, thus the waste is reduced and we protect the environment.
The harvest begins in early October while the fruit itself is still unripe. Our olives are hand picked before falling on the ground to preserve the unique taste of our Macana. The hand-picking of olives is a fundamental phase for the production of our extra virgin olive oil. Our hand picked olives are transported to our factory right after the harvest and cold pressed. It’s the cold pressing that determines the very high quality of extra virgin olive oil.
In the production of Macana hand picking and cold press contribute so much to the unique flavour and health benefits of our product. Due to this, it retains its natural antioxidants and vitamins

Macana Early Harvest Extra Virgin olive oils, which are obtained by traditional cold press method without using any additives, are bottled untouched under extremely healthy conditions. With fruit and grass notes Macana EVOO is well-balanced with a slightly strong aftertaste.
Macana Extra Virgin Olive Oil obtained by ripe harvest and traditional cold pressed method without using any additives, are bottled untouched under extremely healthy conditions. It is an olive oil with a golden color, aromas of dry Agean spices. Intense, balanced and powerful. The taste will surprise you at first but over time you will be addicted to this flavor.
